Axial flow fan has become one of the commonly used items in people's daily work and life due to its strong practicality. Axial flow fans can be seen in factories, warehouses, office buildings or some residential areas. It can help indoor ventilation and keep the indoor air fresh; people's indispensable electric fans and air conditioners also need to use this technology, and condensers and the like can also work better with its assistance.
The reason why axial flow fans are called "axial flow" is that the gas flows parallel to the fan shaft. Axial flow fans are usually used in occasions with high flow requirements and low pressure requirements. Axial flow fans fix the position and move the air. The main components of axial flow fans are: impeller, casing, motor, etc., and its bracket is generally connected to the casing duct with steel. Among them, the impeller and casing of the anti-corrosion axial flow fan are made of fiberglass, and other types of axial flow fans are generally made of steel plates. The structure of axial flow fans is relatively simple, but the requirements for data are very high. Generally, the gas delivered by the axial flow fan should be free of obvious dust, stickiness and fiber; the temperature of the motor direct-connected type should not exceed 40°C, and the temperature of the belt-driven type should not exceed 60°C.
The working principle of the axial flow fan is that when the impeller rotates, the gas enters the impeller axially from the air inlet, is pushed by the blades on the impeller, and the energy of the gas is increased, and then flows into the guide vane. The guide vane converts the deflected airflow into axial flow, and at the same time guides the gas into the diffuser, further converting the kinetic energy of the gas into pressure energy, and then introduces it into the working pipeline.
The working mode of the axial flow fan blade is similar to that of the aircraft wing. However, the latter applies lift upward to the wing and supports the weight of the aircraft, while the axial flow fan is fixed in position and moves the air. Its cross-section is generally a wing section. The blade can be fixed in position or rotated around its longitudinal axis. The angle between the blade and the airflow or the blade spacing can be non-adjustable or adjustable. Changing the blade angle or spacing is one of the main advantages of axial flow fans. Small blade spacing angles produce lower flow, while increasing the spacing can produce higher flow.
Advanced axial fans can change the blade pitch when the fan is running (which is quite similar to the helicopter rotor), thereby changing the flow rate accordingly. This is called a variable blade (VP) axial fan.
Axial fans, also known as local ventilators, are a type of fan commonly used in industrial and mining enterprises. However, unlike ordinary fans, its motor and blades are in a cylinder, and its appearance is a cylinder. It is used for local ventilation, easy to install, and has obvious ventilation and air exchange effects. It is safe and can be connected to the cylinder to deliver wind to a designated area.
Only by understanding the working principle of axial fans can we use it better, and only by truly mastering this technology can people make better innovations.
