Working Principle of centrifugal fan: according to the principle that kinetic energy is converted into potential energy, centrifugal fan uses high-speed rotating impeller to accelerate the gas, then slows down and changes the flow direction to convert kinetic energy into potential energy (pressure). In a single-stage centrifugal fan, the gas enters the impeller from the axial direction. When the gas flows through the impeller, it changes to the radial direction and then enters the diffuser. In the diffuser, the gas changes the flow direction and the pipe section area increases to slow down the airflow, which converts kinetic energy into pressure energy. The pressure increase mainly occurs in the impeller, followed by the expansion process. In the multi-stage centrifugal fan, the air flow enters the next impeller with a backflow device to generate higher pressure.
