Possible reasons for the decrease of output of centrifugal fan

Centrifugal fan is a kind of driven fluid machinery that relies on the input mechanical energy to improve the gas pressure and feed the gas side by side. The centrifugal fan is driven by the motor to rotate the impeller. The blades in the impeller force the gas to rotate and work on the gas to increase its energy. Under the action of centrifugal force, the gas is thrown out around the impeller, the velocity energy is converted into pressure energy through vortex-type casing. When the gas in the impeller is discharged, the pressure in the impeller is lower than that in the inlet pipe, and the new gas is sucked into the impeller under the effect of pressure difference, gas is continuously discharged from the pump.


Possible reasons for the decrease of centrifugal fan output:


1. Motor failure such as motor staor winding local short circuit causes speed drop.


2. The impeller may have dirt to increase the load and affect its rotation speed.


3. The impeller is unbalanced (there will be abnormal vibration at the same time).


4. Whether there is any obstacle to the inlet air, such as the inlet valve is closed small or the inlet air filter screen is dirty and blocked.
